408 BC     The city is occupied by the Carthaginians during the expedition ending 
           with the destruction of Himera (408 BC).
404-340 BC Captured by Campanian mercenaries who had been in the service of the 
           Carthaginian invaders of Sicily.
368 BC     Dionysios of Syracuse occupies Entella.
           Subsequently attacked by the Carthaginians.
339 BC     Entella is liberated by Timoleon after his victory at the Crimiso river.
263 BC     The Romans occupy Entella during the First Punic War.
