In Journal of Hellenic Studies (JHS) 1973, 23 ff Barrett argues that the real liberation of 
Himera was in 466 BC, which therefore marks the beginning of the new coinage; 
The Pelops issue will then celebrate Ergoteles' Olympic victory of 464 BC
