Lykon is the name of one of the twelve sons of Hippocoon.
Hippocoon had driven Tyndareos from the throne of Sparta.
Heracles killed Hippocoon and his sons in favour of Tyndareos.
After this Heracles founded a sanctuary for Athena Axiopoinos (she who punishes with justice).
