SO

SO has been associated with an obscure Lucanian tribe, the Sontini,
or their chief settlement Sontia (modern Sanza) in the valley of the river Diano on
the route between Sybaris and Campania.


Only two recorded specimens (5.78 and 5.30 g)


Weight standard of the coins not Achaean. Appears to be that of an early Chalcidian drachm
(also used by Rhegium towards the end of the century).
The only recorded provenance is in fact Rogliano, south of Cosenza.
